February Deep Dive: Creating Asynchronous Prayer Practices for Lent with Emily Ulmer from Plainsong Farm
Emily Ulmer (she/her) came to Plainsong in May of 2020 for a seminary internship and quickly made a home here. Any given day can find her fine-tuning Bible study curriculum for Plainsong’s Good News Garden program, washing dishes for Sabbath at the Farm, or talking about place and faith with a participant in Plainsong’s young adult programming. Emily’s work at Plainsong weaves together her experience as a worship planner, her passion for young adult discipleship, her commitment to environmental justice, and her background in grassroots community development. She is an avid baker, canner, podcast listener, and caretaker of indoor plants.

March Deep Dive: Discovering The Episcopal Path to Creation Justice with Rev. Rachel Fields
Rachel comes to Creation Care work having spent most of her life in the tidal flats of the eastern shore of Maryland, where the blue crabs and herons captivated her attention. That awe and fascination with the world led her to deeper questions about God and encouraged her to shape a life close to the land here in Vermont. Previously, she has worked with Mission Farm in Vermont, the Church of the Woods in New Hampshire, the Retreat House at Hillsboro, and as a Region Missionary for the Episcopal Church in Connecticut. Her work focuses on building emerging ministries and networks. She is an experiment manager for Try Tank and the Owner/Co-Director of Heartberry Hollow Farm & Forest, a regenerative farm and retreat center in central Vermont.
